April Booster Meeting notes

Ponderosa Lacrosse Booster Meeting - April 13, 2011

1. Habitat For Humanity Final Details

1. Dedication Ceremony May 3, 2011 at the site

2. We will give 2 $100 gift cards to Wal-Mart for the families
3. Final part is April 18, 2011 Monday night - Thank you note writing session Varsity after school 3:15 to 4pm and JV after their practice at 4:15 to 5pm.
4. Articles passed around and links will be on the web site.
5. Final number was $17,400 + minus printing and rebates = $15,500

2. Senior Day - April 30^th - Looking for a volunteer to coordinate - Introduce each senior player and have the parents there as well - line up by number at the beginning of the game - announcements of players and their parents.  Susan and Chris will create the script and senior name list - Madeline will verify senior names.  Susan will arrange a photographer.  John Kopaz will announce. 

3. Team Pictures  -

1. Pictures taken Monday the 18^th between the Thank you note sessions.  Sticks, no pads.

4. Last Meeting of the Season -

1. May 10^th at Tammy Meier’s house.  This will be the meeting where we will elect new officers.

2. President, Pres Elect, VP, Treasurer and voting members (directors) - The importance of the booster club…

5. Treasurer’s report -

1. We will have 14-17K available - banquet will be approx. $1,500 - we will look into what the school has paid for through the school lacrosse fund - “what’s our tab?”

6. Susan’s report -

1. Thank you cards are done

2. Programs, posters and ref hand signals are done
3. Clothing - took care of 32 orders - 4 still outstanding issues

7. End of the Year Banquet -

1. Heritage Eagle Bend - 470 & Gartrell -   May 1 - April 25^th deadline

2. Buffet - Video & award presentation
3. Players and coach’s are paid for by the team

8. Communication -

1. Ultimatley, it is your son that needs to stay on top of practice and game schedules!
2. We will strive to have better communication and updates on the web site.
3. Points of clarification - game and practice time changes through player communication and tweets - communication tab on the web site
4. Team parent expectations will be defined
5. Framing the expectations on the web site.
6. Parents need to text, call or email out to the coaches for practice and game information if their player does not have the information
